The hotel holds a Taste of Scotland Award for its home-cooked meals prepared with locally sourced ingredients. A Full English/Irish breakfast is served each morning, and evening meals are available by pre-booking in the oak-panelled dining room. Special diet menus are offered on request.

Each bedroom is individually themed with designs inspired by renowned Scottish designers. The Chinese suite includes a separate sitting area and a rainfall shower over the bath. The Victorian room offers a four-poster super king-size bed and a separate living area.

Guests have access to 25,000 acres of shooting and sporting opportunities, as well as fishing and cycling in the surrounding area. Complimentary golf for 4 players is available at nearby Colvend Golf Club. The hotel is set within a working farm and is close to Galloway Forest Park, the largest forest park in Britain.
